BALK – Balk
First full length CD of the assembly, includes some compositions of the previous EP and unpublished material. For lovers of world music, fusion and soundscapes, progressive textures of assemblages inspired by the Turkish instrumental folklore of Anatolia. with typical darbuka rhythms, daff. The traditional side in contrast to an instrumentation more linked to jazz rock and progressive rock, with electric guitars close to King Crimson of the 90 ‘, the guitar solos close to what Allan Holdsworth does in Soft Machine in the 70’s, with fretless bass lines.
There are also moments of trance and Dhikr Allah (Remembrance of God) and others of introspection with sound landscapes of synthesized guitar.
All the compositions are typical of the Italian-Chilean musician Arifín Ferruggiaro, dedicated to the Sufi master Mawlana Sheikh Nazim (q). The musical production was made by Daniel R. Gómez (Abd Halim).
